Did you realize that many states and federal laws require rechargeable batteries to be recycled?  Call 2 Recycle just announced a record-breaking 6.7 million pounds of rechargeable batteries collected in 2010.  It is free and easy to recycle your used rechargeable batteries and cell phones at Call 2 Recycle; they offer over 30,000 collections sites.

    leave it on the curb, it is not responsible to do so. Check out the Center for Environmental
    Health’s website, where you can learn how to make better choices when purchasing electronic gear for your home and
    business. Throughout the WEEE recovery chain, producers are required to finance the cost of e-waste collection from consumers; transportation to the
    recycling center; treatment; recovery and disposal.
