PEDALS FOR PROGRESS
This New Jersey based organization, Pedals for Progress, shipped 4,723 bikes in 2010 and over 129,000 total bikes in it’s 20 year history, to help people get to work, as a source of transportation, trade and means for employment. Each bike takes $35 to ship to them, unless you are in the NJ area and can deliver, and they ask for at least a $10 donation along with each bike, to cover their expenses of collection.
