You just never know what common items you have around the house that can be repurposed into beautiful new items! Concord, NC native Jessica Garmon opened a recycling art studio recently, naming it “Trashed”. Her creative ideas are inspiring others to turn just about any object into a piece of art, jewelry or decoration. “Trashed” offers classes on how to create art, candles, handbags and even re-upholstering furniture. Jessica has unique ideas: she uses old seat belts to make rugs; cut up gift cards to make bracelets (see picture); magazines to make 3- dimensional wall hangings; light bulbs to make floating candles!
